When I connect my pcDuino3s to a TV via HDMI, I don't get any audio through. Video works fine.

I have set the HDMI card as default, and alsamixer does show it, but with comment 'no controls for this device' (not sure if that matters though).

Anyone out there with similar issues, or event a suggestion how to fix?

The audio outputs from the audio jack.

You can refer to : http://learn.linkspr...cduino3-lbuntu/ to change.

Hi Jim,
thanks or your reply. The audio jack does work, indeed, and was set up as default output. As explained in my initial post, I have successfully changed the default audio out to HDMI - exactly as in the article that you have referred to. But, the problem is that no sound is coming through HDMI.

Any suggestions what I could do next?
Is there anyone that has successfully used the HDMI audio out on a pcDuino3s?

Further feedback would be much appreciated!

Yes. I personally did that. We can tools like http://learn.linkspr...r-for-pcduino3/ to easily switch the output devices.

Hi Jim,
installing Pulseaudio did the trick! At first the HDMI card did not show in PA Volume Control, but after a reboot, the HDMI audio card was present and fully fully functional.

Cheers for your help!

Andi

Hi P_and_A,

For pcduino with Android system, you should be able to get both video and audio from HDMI.

Regards,

Harry
