Dear,

Last month I ordered RFID module (Long Range UHF RFID reader (1-6M) (ISO18000-6C EPC G2))

But I can not get it working, it does give bleebs when turned on and I get serial data from it. But I cannot access it by the demo software and it also does not respond on serial input.

Can you please help me further with it.

This is the what I’m using:

-          Windows 7

-          Triple-lite Keyspan RS232 converter, on baudrate 9600, 8 bits no parity and 1 stop bit

-          AccesPort 137 serial monitor

The feedback I got is:

20 38 3F : as response of my RFID card ISO18000-6C

And the demo software says: Data line not plugged in or device is not open!

But I see on the serial converter the light blinking when I try to connect.

I really stuck on this point.

I’d like to hear from you soon.

Kind regards,

Can you have a link to the product page where you ordered it?  We need to know which exact module you are using. From your email, looks like you ordered http://store.linkspr...8000-6c-epc-g2/.  It already has RS232 interface, why do you use another RS232 converter?

Thanks.

@David

That is indeed the product that i ordered: http://store.linkspr...8000-6c-epc-g2/

The converter I use is a RS232 to USB converter for serial communication with the PC.

@Hansdp,

I think you need an updated version of demo software. I'll send it to you by email, and please let me know your test results.

Thanks,

Harry

Hi, did you manage to connect to your Reader via the demo software? My Standard demo version is v2.2.8.

Thanks,

Eddi

You may try baud rate 57600 to see if it works.

@Harry Thanks for your response

In the demo software you send me it did work, and seems to work okay.

But even with a baudrate of 57600 i do not manage to control it with the communication protocol and the demosoftware V2.2.8, like Eddy, it still say: Data line not plugged in or device is not open!

I send you the results from the demo software.

The things I want to change is to turn off the buzzer and preventing that it will send the same tagId multiple times in a short time, because I want to send it by GPRS.

Hans

Hi Hans,

Glad to know that the new demo software works. For V2.2.8, I think it has compatibility issue with Windows 7, please don't try it on Windows 7 any more. We'll update the demo software link on the product page soon.

Thanks,
Harry

Ok, I managed to unpack it with this link bizarrely. I also managed to connect to it. It's looking good. Thank you!

Thank you for uploading the new software, this works fine.

But I wonder how can I turn off the buzzer and change settings like the ignorance of duplicates.
