I have bought the Rs485 shield(https://www.sparkfun.../products/11959). I need to connect this shield as RS422 interface to the Arduino. Can you please guide as to how to connect it as a RS422 shield.

I know that.I have connected it as a RS485 shield and it works well. But now I want to connect it as 422 shield since in the datasheet it is written as RS485/RS422 trans-receiver. Will I be able to use the DB9 connector pins to act as RS422?

You must mean the datasheet of the chip MAX481CSA on RS485 shield.
But you can view the schematic of RS485 shield, it only have a RS485 interface. The DB9 is also an RS485 interface.
