I'm using an "Ourlink" wifi adapter (it uses the RTL8188CUS chip by Realtek). I tried following the procedure given on the Realtek vendor website (here), but it gives me errors (viz. "no rules to make target error" on make). Although I'm not a Linux newbie, I've never done this before. Has anyone been successful in installing this particular (or any other wifi driver) on the Acadia? I really want to make the Acadia mobile because it's gonna go on a robot.

Did you load the latest ubuntu release for the acadia? It added support for a wifi dongle and I think its the same chipset. Not 100% on the chipset.
