I am trying to boot the Acadia from either image (SD boot or eMMC boot) using the instructions here.

1. SD Boot

Booting from SD card works initially but hangs with the message:

mmc2: host does not support reading read-only switch. assuming write-enable.

mmc2: new high speed SDHC card at address dfc7

mmcblk0: mmc2:dfc7 SE08G 7.2 GiB

 mmcblk0: p1

2. eMMC Boot

Nothing happens. As it turns out, the hardware version I have (Acadia 1 V3.0) does not have configuration switches (the DIP switches just above the CPU are not populated). This makes following the guides (specifically the parts about setting the DIP switches to configure eMMC boot) a little difficult.

Please help! I cannot get the Acadia to do anything at this point.

I was not told about a hardware change and have sent an email requesting information.

Where did you purchase the Acadia from?

SD boot only. How are you creating the SD card? Tried a different card? Power supply is usually the first place I look when problems occur.

Thanks, cwilt! I have tried Win32DiskImager and dd on Linux. I have also tried a 4GB Kingston and 8GB Kingston microSD cards. They all result in the same freezing error when booting from SD.

You are using the SD bootable or production image?

I have tried both. The SD Bootable image produces the error in the first image.

I do not have a final production board but I was able to load latest image without issue.

I work at SparkFun Electronics, and they are having me do an evaluation of the Acadia before it goes on sale.

My new Acadia arrived today.

Created a bootable SD without issue.

Acadia booted fine.

I love this board.
