Need some assistance.  I have two arduinos communicating well when I connect the PLC's with 220V AC.  When I remove the 220V AC and power the boards individually with 12V as per the instruction I do not get any communication.  I checked that the PLC output power is at 5V.  Do I need to put DC power on the communications line also? According to the data sheet the PLC unit should work without power on the line.

Double check the connection is OK! Make sure the AC power would not directly influence DC Power´╝ü

Hi Can PLC module with Simple MAC communicate over DC line?

And if so, does the DC line have to be attached to the Line and Neutral pins

OR can it communicate just by connecting DC power to the 12V VHH pins
