Hi,

I have a pcduino8 beta arches board. I am trying to connect my usb camera with pcduino8 beta board. But pcduino8 board is unable to detect it. I have added following lines in the /etc/modules to enable the camera drivers.

gc0308

gc2035

ov5640

sun4i_csi0 i2c_addr=0x42 ccm=“gc0308”

sun4i_csi0 i2c_addr=0x78 ccm=“gc2035”

sun4i_csi0 i2c_addr=0x78 ccm="ov5640"

But after adding above lines also I am unable to get /dev/video device.

Thanks

pirpi

What kind of USB camera do you use? Maybe there is no Linux driver supporting you USB module.

1. lsusb to find your usb deivce

2. lsmod to find Linux driver that have been installed

3. Is there linux module for your USB device?

4. dmesg to get the information logged from kernel.

Thanks for your reply.

I am using Logitech HD USB camera. The same camera I am using for the pcduino3, with pcduino3 it is working fine. I have one more mini webcam, with that also it is not working. Infact I checked with dmesg, it is not showing any kernel log messages for the USB camera.

Help me with this.

Thanks

I guess OS image for pcDuino8 Uno do not support your Logitech HD USB camera.
