Hello,

I am trying to program a LinkNode-D1 and LinkSprite IR Shield.  The problem I am running in to is that when I attach the LinkSprite IR Shield the serial interface to the LinkNode-D1 ceases to work correctly.  I have noticed the following as well:

- Programming without IR shield removed and run with shield inserted the UART is sporadic

- Programming with IR shield removed and run with shield removed the UART doesn't work

- Programming without IR shield removed and run with shield removed the UART works

Here's the sample code:

void setup() {
  // put your setup code here, to run once:
  Serial.begin(9600);
  Serial.println("Hello");
}

void loop() {
  // put your main code here, to run repeatedly:

}

Is this a known issue?

If you want to use IR shield, you have to install IR remote library for ESP8266.

https://github.com/m...IRremoteESP8266

I have no idea what had happened to you, but as to me, I program the LinkNode D1 when mounted on IR shield, it works.

Thanks for confirming youkee, looks like my board must be deffective.  I was originally using IRremoteESP8266 but pulled back to my basic example when I was running in to problems with it.  Do you know who I can contact about returns?
