Just installed Ubuntu (1-2-2016) on a SD card and booted the board.
Start up stalls with a continuous loop of the message "wait /dev/mmcblk0p3 ready"
Any help appreciated. Thanks

Please format your SD card and remove the partition table in SD card, then using Win32Diskimage or DD command to flash the system image into SD card.

Tried it and it did not work. I have a a few new SD cards coming tomorrow. Will try again.

Worked with new SD card. Booted to desktop and then went to an endless loop with "plymouth-upstart-bridge main process terminated with status 1"
