I have some inquires about the Cottonwood UHF RFID Reader

I am working with their demo software "UHF RFID Reader Demo "

I am following the exact same steps as in the following tutorial:

However when I try to add a serial reader, I get a " Fail to open the COM Port"

Please check attached the setup, the error message and the arduino code. 
 
Even with the shown setup, I don't get any data at Arduino serial monitor
 
I am using Arduino code in the link below.

I tried the code linked in the previous post with two different Arduino versions 1.0.5 and 1.6.4 on a mac book, 
but still nothing is displayed at the serial monitor. 
 
Also, when I tried the code on Arduino software installed at windows, I still did not get any results.

Why I am not getting any reply, I spent a lot of money on this module and I need it to work ????

I downloaded this version of X-CTU but it is not detecting any RF module ?????

hi ~Is it version TTL UART?  Here is a simple code, please try this code on you Cottonwood UHF RFID Reader.
