Could the linknode r4 r8 take a 12 volt power supply?

The website mentions "12V/1A-15V/1A DC power is recommended."

How ever when I plug in a 12 volt power  supply the device does crazy, does not work, flashing leds.

Thanks

Yes.

Is it supposed to work with 12 volts? The web site in place mentions 12 volts in another and on the device it says 5 volts.

With a 5 volt power supply it works fine.

What do I need to do to modify it to take 12 volts?

Do I need just to change the voltage regulator?

Thanks
