Olva posted a topic in CNCA: I've assembled the kit but the spindle won't turn on. All other motors work fine but when I try to turn the spindle motor on I only here a buzzing sound and it does not turn B: There is a switch on the motherboard to select the laser engraving or carving knife engraving. You can check the attachment for the picture(IMAGE.jpg). Please check whether you have select correct and try again. A:The switch is in the correct position and when I click spindle on in the grblcontrol I have checked the voltage at the motor. It is receiving the correct voltage (24v). B: Can you please take some detail photos? A: Please see 1.jpg, 2.jpg, 3.jpg, 4.jpg, 5.jpg B: According to the pictures that you have provided, we are guessing the motor is damaged. Can you please measure the voltage on the 2 terminals of the motor directly(Please refer to the following picture 6.jpg ) to determine whether the wire is conductive wire, if it is conductive, it maybe the motor is damaged. A: I did not try was connecting the motor directly to the power supply instead of through the board to make sure the board wasn't the problem. When I do this the motor works fine so it probably is not the motor after all. Can you provide a schematic? B: Please check the follow link http://linksprite.com/wiki/index.php5?title=DIY_CNC_3_Axis_Engraver_Machine_PCB_Milling_Wood_Carving_Router_Kit_Arduino_Grbl
I was in the middle of etching some lettering onto pieces of wood when I noticed that about 3/4 of the way through the process, the outline of the image shifted, ruining the whole etching. When I started trying to narrow down the issue, I was starting the etching again when the machine would no longer start a project after being sent g code. It started to move and then stalled out and didnt do anything. In the process of trying to get it to work again, the laser came on and would not turn off. If the control board has power and the laser is plugged in, it will not turn off. I have tried unplugging everything, and plugging it back in. Toggling the laser on and off in the software even reflashing the board and it still won't turn off. The spindle does the same thing when plugged in. Any ideas how to reset the board so I can turn both off?
Hi, I bought a "Three-axis Engraving Machine" as a kit and I mounted it. I uploaded grbl 1.0. The machine did not work at all. Regarding other comments, it seems not to be the right soft. I then uploaded grbl 0.9 i. Now the card communicates with the machine : it sends commands, but absolutely nothing is moving. A red light is on, on the card, everything is connected as it has to be connected. I heard about the use of grbl 0.9c, which could be the right soft, but I cannot find it. Please HELP !
