Not that I am aware of.

Commenting out (with #) the www.wiimu.com:8020 entries in /etc/apt/sources.list will allow other updates to install.

Still..

pcDuino8 Uno has only timezone/locale settings in it's board-config.sh.

Arches has no board-config.sh.

Arches also has no overscan tool. (the Allwinner A20 tool wont work on it's Freescale SoC.)

Neither the pcDuino8 Uno or Arches have the pcDuino IDE installed on Ubuntu 14!

Development is therefore impossible on Arches and pcDuino8 Uno as installing the IDE with 'apt-get install' is also impossible.

One or more of these issues need to be addressed urgently.

The update server worked intermittantly a few weeks ago, but seems to have gone down and stayed down since.

Might it be possible to give a short instruction (to those who are not so familiar with this stuff) on how to implement the alternative source and maybe (if necessary) how to disable the disrupted one? Thank you.

Will this then also work for an pcDuino v3?

Will there be a more durable solution available for the future?

The given solution is not a solution since it only ignores the wiimu.com servers, so you don't have an error when trying to update with those servers as a source.

There is still a very big trouble: we can't download the package pcduino-linux-headers-3.4.79+

Code:

pcduino-linux-headers-3.4.79+

Answer from interpreter:

Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
E: Unable to locate package pcduino-linux-headers-3.4.79
E: Couldn't find any package by regex 'pcduino-linux-headers-3.4.79'

That's normal since the package "pcduino-linux-headers-3.4.79+" is knows only in wiimu.com servers (no longer available)

My file "/etc/apt/sources.list" contains:

deb http://ports.ubuntu.com/ubuntu-ports/trusty main universe
deb-src http://ports.ubuntu.com/ubuntu-ports/trusty main universe
deb http://ports.ubuntu.com/ubuntu-ports/trusty-security main universe
deb-src http://ports.ubuntu.com/ubuntu-ports/trusty-security main universe
deb http://ports.ubuntu.com/ubuntu-ports/trusty-updates main universe
deb-src http://ports.ubuntu.com/ubuntu-ports/trusty-updates main universe
deb http://www.wiimu.com/pcduino/pcduino main
deb-src http://www.wiimu.com/pcduino/pcduino main

I uncommented the wiimu server to try to access while updating. wiimu server is on line but there is 404 error: all interesting files have dissapeared!

Code:

sudo apt-get update

The big trouble is that I can't have the sources for the kernel in use (3.4.79+) and so I can't compile drivers for the devices I want to use. For instance, I have a wifi USB key, I have the drivers sources but when trying to compile the error "Kernel sources missing" appears. I can't and nobody can too compile drivers without this package.

Hre you can see that the package resides in wiimu server:

This is a very important issue since all pcDuino becomes uninteresting with no device drivers to add! We can only use the drivers included in the kernel and no more.

LinkSprite please help: give access to this package, put it on your server. It costs only some web space.

The problem remains. I posted it in the new subject you gave (as a guest because I had problem of connection to the forum last time). The problem is that there is a distribution conflict with the new sources you gave.

See my problem here:

http://forum.linksprite.com/index.php?/topic/4714-new-packages-repository-for-pcduino/?p=12833

Thank you for your help.
