adb (Android Device Bridge) on PCDuino nano

Recommended Posts

Help.

I am trying to get the ADB (Android Device Bridge) to work on the pcduino. I found this:

http://www.xda-developers.com/adb-fully-working-on-raspberry-pi/

That got me an adb that at least runs on the board. But it does not see any device connected to the USB port.

Is there perhaps a USB configuration setting I need to do?

Sorry if this is all vague, I suspect the ADB compiled for the raspberry may not be correct for the PCDuino.

This is after trying two different ppa repositories claiming the adb, via

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:nilarimogard/webupd8
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install android-tools-adb android-tools-fastboot

which did not find the requested packages.

thanks all for any help.

Update. Still no luck. I compiled the source found at
http://www.xda-devel...n-raspberry-pi/
on the PCDuino-nano, using the makefiles for armv6l though the 'duino is armv7l

The executable runs, but does not find the android device plugged into USB. Is there perhaps something I need to do in regards to USB ports?

Update: Progress but no cigar yet.

I added the kindle VENDOR_ID 0x1949 to builtInVendorIds in usb_vendors.c.

Also ran sudo date -s {today's date} because no rtc on nano, and makefile complains.

ubuntu@ubuntu: make clean

ubuntu@ubuntu: sudo kill -9 {adb pid}

ubuntu@ubuntu:./adb devices

* daemon not running. starting it now on port 5037 *
* daemon started successfully *
List of devices attached
????????????    no permissions

ok. something connects, maybe. Do I need to use a different USB connection? Are the top two USB not 'writable'?
