BLE Sensor Tag/iBeacon Station NRF51822 power consumption

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I've recently bought some of these BLE sensors:

http://linksprite.com/wiki/index.php5?title=Bluetooth_4.0_BLE_Sensor_Tag/iBeacon_Station_NRF51822

They work as expected but the battery is drained in days. I measured the power consumption and the average power is around 1mA, which eats the battery in less than a week.

After checking Nordic dev forums, I think that the problem resides in a software bug that can be fixed as described here:

https://devzone.nordicsemi.com/question/32497/power-consumption-of-ble_app_beacon/?answer=32675#post-id-32675

I've seen that in the LinkSprite wiki page the binary version of the firmware is included (Factory default firmware), but not the source code. Is it available anywhere? Would it be possible to get a copy to modify the boot loader as described in Nordic dev forums?

Thanks in advance
